Melding Sharia Law and British Society
The "On Faith" series in The Washington Post often has interesting commentary (Christopher Hitchens' half-drunken harangues notwithstanding).
There was a particularly interesting commentary by Feisal Abdul Rauf on how integrating aspects of Sharia Law would benefit British society.
I'd suggest you don't read the comments unless you want your brain to implode.

Yeah, most of Britains tabloids are up in arms over this non-issue because American media has successfully implanted the suggestion that Sharia = hand chopping, shooting women and children and genital mutilation etc.
They're calling for the blood of the most benign archbishop over this shit and the fucking funniest part is they don't even realise how much like the flag-burning fanatics they fear so much they have become...Reality has a deep irony sometimes.
Personally, I agree with the Archbishop in principle but in the current times, I think integration of sharia might be impossible due to public majority opinion.
